“We have been living in our Northcape built house for over 2 years now,and couldn't be happier. The process of designing and building the house was delightful, the finished product our dream come true. Designer/decorator Pat Westgate was so easy to work with, accompanying me to granite, tile, appliance and plumbing showrooms, all of which were totally overwhelming. She gently guided me to the best choices, gave her opinions when asked, whittled choices down when there were too many, etc. She was also a great resource when choosing lighting, always difficult for us since my husband and I have different tastes in that regard. She and Project Manager Jim Goin suggested some design changes that we are very happy with. Friends comment on how "solid" the house is--so well insulated from outside noise. It's an exceptionally well built house, with great attention to detail.”

“I'm happy to give Scott Curtice my strongest positive recommendation. Our project went quite smoothly, staying on schedule thanks to the fact that my office is in the house and Scott's commitment to providing a foreman. This enabled us to make decisions quickly and address problems promptly. Scott and his crew showed a lot of creativity in meeting our requirement to stay in the house during the renovation, to the extent of setting up a temporary kitchen and shower in the basement. In the end, we only had to be out of the house for about a week. He was also very good about coordinating with our architect and the cabinetmaker that we selected ourselves. Having heard a few horror stories of renovation cost overruns, I think we also did well in this respect. Our final figure was about 10% more than the initial estimate due to the kind of unforeseen issues that can be expected on any such project, along with a few changes that we ordered. The level of detail Scott provides in his constantly updated spreadsheet also helped us to make some decisions that reduced our cost.”

Their craftsmanship is unparallelled. They completely demolished/re-designed/re-built our entire kitchen, and we are 100% satisfied. When was the last time you were 100% satisfied? With ANYTHING?”

“We had Great Northern Builders completely finish our large basement, and Len Bogh did a great job. I never thought we could transform that basement into such a comfortable living space. My husband, who recently retired, is now putting his home office down there and he loves the space. It is also great when we have all the family staying here over Christmas. After listening to us talk about the many possibilities for our addition, Jim provided us focus and a fabulous concept for our new master bedroom suite. He collaborated with us and an architect to ensure a solid plan, and in a few short months, Jim and his team built the addition over our garage that blends as if it has always been a part of the house. While the entire Refined Renovations team was professional and efficient, it was Jim’s creativity and wonderful design sense that enabled us to realize our dream of a casually sophisticated sanctuary that is simply elegant.”

“We have known Justin Bloch and his company, Morgan Exteriors since 2006. Justin is very personable and easy to work with. Unlike other professionals, he listen's. He is very eager to help and comes up with many creative design ideas. What we loved about Justin and Morgan Exteriors was that they always kept in touch without using high-pressure tactics. Their prices are very reasonable. The people that came to work on the project were mostly family and friends, so they were very well behaved and worked hard. Justin was around for mostly the initial engagement and design phase. Knowing him, made us feel really comfortable about spending the money for our project. We did get other estimates. Some were lower and many were outrageous. We chose Morgan Exteriors largely because Justin constantly kept in touch without pressuring us. Around 2007, we hired them to replace Siding, Window's/Doors and deck. It was a $50000 project. In 2014 we hired them again, to expand the Deck ($1800). The Quality of work done for both of these projects was very high and we have been extremely happy. Over time, the seal on some of the window's broke and Morgan Exteriors replaced them, no Fuss. I wanted to hire them for other interior work but unfortunately they do not do that. I will definitely hire them for other Exterior work in the future.”
