“Wonderful experience--Mike Nadeau is a talented and creative designer and builder with a super team who are courteous, thorough and highly skilled. He is very willing to be available and visited the project site regularly, often pitching in to do some of the work himself. He uses a first rate team of associates including carpenters, structural engineers, electricians, excavators, painters and HVAC personnel and manages to coordinate their arrivals and departures like a smoothly running broadway show with no wasted time or delays. They did a major renovation including building a large add-on family room, a new kitchen, wrap-around deck, portico and repair of a substantial amount of rotted siding and trim as well as correcting the prior work of others which needed redoing. We used him gladly for subsequent projects and would do it again any time. Absolutely first rate!!!!”

“Harvest Building Company converted one bay of our three-car garage into an entry room and the entire second floor into an office and guest bedroom and full bathroom. One of the unique features was the dividing wall between the bedroom/office/sitting room spaces. The wall was a bookshelf, which had a center panel, which rotated (they figured out that the mechanism for a windmill would allow the panel to rotate 360 degrees in both directions). While one side contained a bookshelf, the other side had a plain wall so that we could mount a TV on it, thus, allowing the TV to be viewed in the sitting area or in the bedroom. Their tile work, carpentry and sheetrock work was some of the best that I have seen. I really enjoyed working with them, not only because of their meticulous, high quality workmanship, but also, because they really loved and took great pride in their work.”

“We have done several projects with David Beers in the past and keep coming back because of his customer service and quality work. Most recently, he remodeled our third floor guest bathroom where he installed a custom tile shower and introduced a creative solution to the sloped ceiling and lack of headroom by installing a skylight. He also did floor heat, which our guests love. He will be our first call if we have another project.”

“Very happy with work done in 2013 on second floor of house built in the early 1900's. Crew was respectful of the property and the fact that we lived in the house while under construction. We decided to rehire M L Murdy in 2017 for kitchen and living room remodel. Design plans are impressive, and utilization of space is maximized. Team is responsive to customer's needs, and communication is easy. We highly recommend this company!”

“My first experience with Brom builders was several years ago. I purchased a Condo, they had built in Norwich Conn. The quality and detail was impecable. To this day my family discusses what a beautiful unit it was. Ican remember having a minor issue with the windows and how prompt and professional the service was. In my opinion if you are lookoing to build your dream house, there should be no one else that you'd want to do the job. Brom Builders is #1 in my book.”

“Appropriate Designs brought my vision to reality! So many green buildings have a hard time incorporating a beautiful appearance with absolute function. Richard Sherman transformed our dream for a small modern cottage concept with lots of curved lines and implemented energy efficiency and design aesthetics to create a HOME in the woods! Richard brought his creativity and ingenuity to the Project to overcome challenges with the site and the materials. He acted as General Contractor for an out-of-state owner and was on call and available throughout the process. He involved us through all of planning phase and his careful attention to the Building envelope and his oversight to the actual build added to the success. Richard had a great willingness to invest time and energy to achieve the Goals. His professionalism and ability to work with and call upon local experts was outstanding. He opened the house to many students and interested parties and considers our home as carefully as if it was his property.”

“I hired Select Construction for a $15,000 roofing project on the house I recently purchased. As it was a foreclosed property, the roof and surrounding trim and siding pieces were a complete mess. Andrew, the owner of the company, met with us and provided us with several options for the project (he wanted to make sure that he had a solution that would fit within our budget and goals for the property). He arrived at our house on time and was very professional. Rare to see a contractor arrive in khaki pants and a polo shirt. After providing us with several options, my wife and I decided to do a complete roofing job (they removed the old shingles and all of the junk that was underneath due to what looked like several shoddy roofing jobs done before this one). Select Construction completed the roof and replaced all of the rotted trim boards with AZEK boards that we don't have to paint. Overall I am very satisfied with Select Construction's quality of work and the timeliness in which they completed it. If I am going to spend $15,000 on a project I want to know that the company I hire is going to complete the job as promised, in the timeframe they promised, and with a high quality of craftsmanship. I would definitely hire Select Construction again.”
