“Five star ratings from me are hard to come by. Steve and his crew earned a 10 star rating from me. There are many factors for me to give them that rating. This rating might ramble on a little but if your willing to read this you will understand why. When you have someone enter your home no matter how you slice it, it is invasive. Your personal space is no longer protected. The honest and trustworthy way they professionally went about there business and the type of quality people they are very quickly put our fears and concerns to rest. They took my wife and my concerns to heart during the planning and execution of the remodel/addition we had them do. In the middle of the repair process the covid-19 pandemic hit and they found a way to make our home livable until they could return to finish the job. There is a old saying that says, “every one has a plan until they get punched in the noise”. Steve and his crew faced the challenge head on and did the job as true professionals. They adjusted smoothly to changes in the plan and where very helpful in giving some ideas when we had a hard time piecing together some details to complete our vision. We had to blend old and new on a budget. Now we have a look that is seamless. It looks like it all was planned together at the same time. The building trade market is currently flooded with guys who don’t really know what there doing or are just dripping there toes in it to make fast money. Because of high demand and lack of qualified people it extremely difficult to know who to trust. One of our building inspectors said it best when he said; “you never have to worry about those guys, they always do the job the right way”. They did it the right way when it was extremely challenging to do so. You know if they do it the right way when it’s hard they will always do it the right way. Trustworthy, professional, flexible, quality work from quality people all done when it was tough to do so. That’s why I can say 10 stars.”

“I recently had my deck completely re-built by KCT, and they did not disappoint. Right from the initial quote to the end of the job these guys did exactly what they said they would, and even upgraded some items to ensure it turned out top-notch. Kyle, Chase, and Trevor were professional, they showed up everyday, and communicated well throughout the process. They built the deck per my specifications, and were very responsive to my questions and additions that were requested mid-project. Every time they came across a decision in building, their choice was always the way that made the deck better, not quicker/easier. I truly appreciate their efforts and would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks again guys!”

“Scott Christopher, or more specifically his renovation company Surpass, did a spectacular job completely remodeling our 1946 Cape Cod lake house. Previously it had very limited views of the lake but today, with the addition of a new kitchen space and elimination of numerous walls, the lake is visible from virtually every room. While the house has clearly been modernized his cabinet makers and workmen preserved the traditional feel of our old house. In addition, we signed on with a specific finish date in mind, December 24, giving them barely 4 months to complete. Although it frequently required weekend construction, which we lived through, they were done on the 20th.”

Bob didn't try and force his solution to fit our needs as most of the other contractors. He listened to what we wanted and came up with a solution that was perfect for us at a reasonable price.”

Benjamin is a FIRST CLASS builder. Honest, well spoken, adhered to quote-no surprises, got sample deck material for our approval. no hassle, adhered to quote, did exactly as quoted, cleaned up job site. Amber Valley also built a new garage for us, it was a good experience. If we had any questions or concerns it was addressed right away. “The Engelsma team is the best in class when it comes to their people, quality, and the experience of building a new home. We used Houzz to help provide the vision of what we were looking for in our new home and they made it come to life. Our rustic modern mountain retreat is something quite amazing. Building a custom home can be a daunting task, but their design team made everything seem effortless. From the Floorplans to fixtures and the smallest details, the craftsmanship is amazing. Their woodworking team built all the custom alder cabinets and their carpenters created a work of art. I had the opportunity to visit the project every day and interact with all the folks on their team and all the subcontractors. Every one that worked for or with Engelsma were wonderful to get to know. As we sit in our living room and go into thought, I look around at the work of art that their team created, amazed at every detail that we had the honor to be apart of. We had the pleasure of moving in a couple months ago and as I walk through our home, I see the faces of everyone that put their mark on every little thing that went into it. The craftsmanship and detail is unbelievable and we feel so blessed that words cannot express how thankful we are for you, Jason, Kevin, Ryan, Mel, Corinne Allison & Jaclyn, Melissa (for dealing with “Bob the Builder next door), Casey, Nick, Darryl, Sammy, Rob, Tyler, Glen & Kurt, Tommy, Herman, the painting team lead by Joe Corey Kayla Erica Will Phil, Brian Brandon and the team, Dave on the deck, Dan Mike & Jeff on the drywall, Don Allen Jeramy Mike Tommy and the team on the masonry, Jim & Nate on the concrete, Mark Ryan and the siding team, Pat and the team on flooring, Don and his sons on the tilework, Crazy Carl and team on the plumbing, Steve, Eric and team on the electrical, Jason’s mom Nancy and the cleaning team, Kerry Dan and the team at Standale, DeeDee on the blinds, the Belden team, and everyone else that played a role in making our dream come true. I may have missed a couple people, but I see them all in every part of our home and will continue to be thankful for the thought that was put into every part that went into the house that is now our home. God has truly blessed us with allowing us to work with their entire team. Again, words can’t express how thankful we are to work with such wonderful people.”
