    “As a homeowner for 33 years, I've had my fair share of local builders, companies and trades people attending to various house repairs on my house. Yet: the customer services and liaison provided by Rob McEwan at Refresh Renovations, Rodney surpasses them all. With Rob's committment to providing excellent service, he confidently guided a fantastic team of builders to replace rotten floorboards in two areas caused by leaks, replace a rotten interior wall, organise a gib stopper, and organise new carpet. I didn't have to do a thing: very grateful Rob had the reins and he competently steered the ship. For each of these tasks, at every developing stage, he kept me in the loop, so I rate his communication skills very highly. His attention to detail where nothing was too much bother for him; will stay in my mind for a long time. Five Stars, absolutely.”

    “In 2009 I purchased a 2 bedroom 30 year old Brick and Tile house north facing on the shores of the Panmure Lagoon. Unbeknownst to me at the time it had won house of the year when constructed all those years before! After living, (and as you do planning), in it a few years, I engaged Alpha 1 Builders carry out the extensive renovations which incorporated ; opening the house out, create two new levels and completely upgrade the house and fittings. All that was left after one week were the external walls. Wrapped in plastic the work began in earnest. Paul's attention to detail and planning meant the build was completed on time and on budget. Of course things changed during the build as they do, but this was made easy by the professional and trademan like care taken by all his staff. Alterations by myself to the original specifications were costed and approved before work was carried out so I never felt concern that the project was running away on me. When Paul suggested that he enter it in house of the year I was enthusiastic and then overjoyed to receive a gold medal. The finished product is a 4 Bedroom easy flowing house with three bathrooms, an enormous rumpus/theater room and open plan Kitchen/Dining and lounge area, opening onto a sweeping sun-drenched deck that displays unobstructed views of the water. Now after three years of living in our house we still enjoy it everyday and find it works well and flows naturally. It's not unusual to sit on one of the superb north facing decks sipping a Flat White gazing out over the waters and pondering the choice of going to work or,,, having another!”

    “Nick Bosanac Builders is a very high-quailty builder. Nick and his team show up on time, get the job done and don't settle for less than the highest quality work from their team and their contractors. The house that Nick built for my mum is elegant, beautiful and practical. His attention to detail shows on every surface, every corner and every function. He also worked with me when issues with dealing with trees on our property came up unexpectedly. He came up with a solution that fitted everyone involved. I doubt another builder would have worked with us with so much respect.”

We are very pleased with the result and enjoying our new home. The essential value-add that Refresh provide is to guide you through the myriad of tradespeople, suppliers and decision making. All whilst keeping up the relentless momentum against a detailed project plan and budget. We challenged Dave many times with decision changes mid-project and he handled it with flexible good cheer all the way through to completion. Do not underestimate how tough it is to do by yourself.     “Andrew was a fabulous tradesman who fitted a cavity-slider in our Bedroom-to-ensuite rennovation. It was not a straight-forward job matching old-house to new-materials. Andrew went the extra mile and kindly gave us some valuable tips for our project and was a pleasant perspon in our house. We'd definitely engage with Andrew again and recommend him to others.”

    “We asked Petras and the Nest crew to help us with (for us anyway !) quite a major swimming pool, feature wall and multiple deck build. We are absolutely delighted by their work. Even Auckland Council staff commented on the professionalism of their work. Combined with an outstanding work ethic, impeccable manners and a great bunch of guys, I have absolutely no hesitation in giving Petras and the NEST crew an outstanding reference. We continue to ask Petras round to help us with projects.”

    “Tailored Building Solutions completed a rebuilt for me and turned the worst house into a modern sun drenched home with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas, large decked area, state of the art kitchen and scullery. I highly recommend Tailored Building Solutions and jut love my new home. If I decide to rebuild or renovate in the future, I would definitely work with Tailored Buidling Solutions again.”
