“Hired JD and his company to extend our deck, reinforce as needed and to install a glass panel in the middle of the deck railing to add some pop and allow a view of our pond. JD and his crew did an amazing job - they evaluated and reinforced the structure supporting deck (correcting many mistakes by the original builder); extended/rebuilt the deck itself (I know it is small but ALL the nails lines up straight); installed the deck rail and installed the reinforced, tempured glass section. They also stained the deck. They showed up on time every day on time, worked a full day, kept the work site clean and tidy - they also listened to my concerns about a nearby tree and wisteria - they took great care to keep both unharmed by the reconstruction. They offered many different options so I could get the featues I wanted - I think their prices were on target. I would hire them again in a heart beat.”

“I had called several contractors to come out review my job and provide an estimate. Many never called back or came and didn’t follow up with a quote. Houzz sent a lead to Cody/Little Home Repair. He came out at the agreed upon time. Looked at the project and confidently stated he could do the job. He explained what he anticipated and showed me where the water was gaining entrance. He followed up with the quote exactly as promised. He explained that once they got into the wall the quote could change but didn’t think it would be significant. We agreed on price and the work began. I was throughly impressed with his team. They all worked great together. They put up barriers to keep dust to a minimum. Every evening they cleaned up. They laid down carpet protectors wherever they would be walking. Because there was damage to a weight bearing seal plate, he suggested contacting a structural engineer. We took his advice and the engineer provided additional expertise to the project. Project is finished and I am very pleased with the results.”

“Jeremy Hensley has been our contractor, advisor and the person we call for any problem, emergency or long-term need for repair, that arises in our home. Our first encounter with him three year ago is when he was the contractor for a major house project, a new driveway and terrace. His work and advice, willingness to answer each question or tackle unexpected problems was beyond our expectations and hopes. We worked with him on this project for over three months and other problems and projects that crept up on us at that time. Since then, we have called on him repeatedly and found that whatever the problem, he was right over to inspect and offer a variety of choices and options for fixing a problem. “We worked with Alan Gerbus to build our home last year. He was incredible to work with. Start to finish he was very detail oriented. From design to production he consistently made sure that what we were doing lived up to our design goals. His subcontractors universally loved him and raved about how great he was. You always hear stories about building a custom home and how you need to be on top of your general contractor. We found that anything we noticed during the build, not only had Alan already seen it, but he usually had already taken steps to correct the issue. Quality was key for him. He didn't think the footers were deep enough so he ripped them out and had them re-poured. The first sub doing our stone work was not doing a good job so he fired them and got someone new and he made them redo the work already done. During design phase, several times he contacted us as he did not feel the design was what we were looking for and he worked and tweaked things to get it where it needed to be. We could not have asked for a better builder or better build experience!”

Things can arise at any time that are unexpected and to the home owner may seem overwhelming and insurmountable. However, Rob is always cool and has a plan of action. He is patient and takes the time to explain all of the options and is only concerned that the client is happy in the end. I can't thank him and his team enough for everything they did over the 6 month period to make things right and ensure everything was taken care of down to the last detail. Overall, I cannot say enough great things about Legacy Custom Builders LLC. There are very few businesses...let alone contractors that are so honest and upfront with clients. It makes a tremendous difference. We couldn't be more pleased with how the addition/renovation turned out. We're lucky to have found Legacy. Finding someone to fit in the categories I referenced above is rare not to mention all the previous individuals I explored never showed up or if they did it turned into a lackadaisical situation. I decided to hault all remolding. I was than introduced by a family member to David Dressman owner of SMS Construction . Despite the 2 hour drive to my home approximately 138 miles one way. He took that trip with no guarantee that I would accept his offer. New trim/doors through my entries home. Light fixtures, railing, changed register vents and many odds and ends that I added on while he was here.
