Together we turned a nightmare kitchen into a a beautiful, functional kitchen. We made changes along the way and he adjusted gracefully. “David & Claire just finished updating our cabinets and walls last week. They took a smelly, dingy, impossible to clean, 1951 kitchen with decades of peeling paint, doors that wouldn't close or come clean, scary, cavernous, inefficient cabinets, and non-functioning, grimy drawers into a fresh, efficient, clean, fully functional space. We LOVE our kitchen now! We can't stop looking at it. It feels totally new, much more functional, like we have more space in the existing footprint, and looks amazing! They: replaced all the doors and drawer fronts; installed new hardware and Euro hinges; recommended and worked with the custom drawer builder to build and install new drawers and cabinet organizer; stripped and repainted the cabinet boxes; built and installed a tall, skinny custom book case next to the fridge; painted the walls and ceiling with minor plaster repair. The work took about ten days, much less money, time, and frustration than a total tear out. And, better use of resources by using what we already have in our existing footprint. Their part of the total project was about $6500, with the total project about $12,000. I highly, enthusiastically recommend Refinish First. They are personable, patient, helpful, courteous, hard-working, professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and responsive. I am thrilled with their results!”

“We hired Rintoul Custom Cabinets to make the cabinets for our kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. It was a fantastic experience with fantastic results! 5 Stars for quality - dovetailed drawers, finished plywood insides, trimmed shelves, soft-close hardware... 5 Stars for customer service - Peter inputted our kitchen designer's drawings into his software and spent hours with me letting me tweak and change, and then print. It was so fun! He had great ideas to help us get what we were truly after in the design, and was available when I needed to ask about something. His installers did a great job as well. I highly recommend this company!”

“This company is the ideal contractor for any home remodeling project. They have completely redesigned our kitchen, created a highly functioning professional dressmaking studio with tons of hidden storage, enclosed a large wrap-around porch to enlarge the living room by creating a beautiful solarium. All of this over the space of 20 years. All projects were completed on time, to perfection and still we wouldn't change a thing. The owner is highly creative in helping you design your space. “I've worked with Devan on at least four projects now in my new ADU and feel truly fortunate to have found him. (A referral from a colleague, who has a knack for finding great craftspeople.) I'm delighted by the beautiful furniture he has built for this tiny, idiosyncratic space, from scratch -- a hefty, curved Doug fir table top for a beautiful Fully standing desk, modern shelving in the bathroom and bedroom, a pair of unusually sized bedside tables and a built-in daybed... so far. I am impressed by his easy-going, collaborative spirit and how well he has listened to what I'm looking for and worked with me to interpret and create just what I needed. In addition to his skill and craftsmanship, he is prompt, gracious, professional, attentive to details and a superb communicator, too, which has been terrifically gratifying. All around, feel lucky to have found him and look forward to our next project!”
