“The Hursthouse team patiently spent many hours developing a detailed and extensive renovation plan for our entire property. Major features of the plan included: --installing a brick paver driveway bordered by a snapcut limestone retaining wall --installing bluestone front entry walk and porch --rebuilding backyard bluestone patio and new courtyard area with water fountain and cast iron fence border --extensive landscape lighting both front and back --installing imported planter urns on pedestals --extensive tree & shrub planting, perennials & ground cover. The design added great value and enhanced our enjoyment of our property in ways we never anticipated. The entire Hursthouse team took great pride in their work and went to great lengths to make us very satisfied clients.”

“My husband and I hired Kyle to design and install a patio and fire pit with surrounding plants in our back yard. With an eye for detail and a unique creative ability, Kyle came up with a perfect design for us which complemented our house and deck. Kyle’s clear communication made the project flow seamlessly. We received an initial email detailing each step of the project. Each day he was on job site to monitor the progress and convey any additional information or changes as well as answer any of our questions. The crew was on time daily, worked tirelessly, answered our questions, and cleaned up the yard at the end of each day. The project was within our budget, completed on time and we absolutely love it.”

“John and the K&D crew re-landscaped 3 sides of our house. We are very pleased with the work they did. John's plans showed imagination & originality that we have not seen elsewhere. This was the first time that we had work done (our 8th residence over 40 years), that did not require us to oversee anything! The professionalism was astounding! If we were present, it was because we were interested in the process. And the only questions to address were changes regarding availability of plantings, etc. The K&D workers were courteous and neat. A pleasure to work with and our compliments to everyone at K&D!”

“Nathan came to our home for an estimate and design ideas for a back yard makeover and patio. Our yard was messy and needed clean up and we really wanted a patio. Nathan provided detailed designs of his ideas and concepts and made some great suggestions. He called and scheduled within a week as promised. “We had recently added a sunroom and needed some landscaping done in our backyard around the new room. We also decided to put in a patio adjacent to the sunroom. We have a slanted backyard, so we really needed advice on how to accomplish this. In addition, we needed a landscaper to work with us as the contractor finished our deck so everything would flow together. We had an idea of what we wanted, but were really looking for advice and recommendations. We talked to three different landscapers and decided to go with Western DuPage Landscaping. The designer, Nicole, had some great suggestions for our project and worked within the budget we gave her. She patiently explained the difference in pricing between the various pavers available and also recommended plants and shrubs that would grow in our very shaded backyard. Our project came in on budget and in the time frame given. We are very happy with the work done and would not hesitate to return to WDL for future work.”

“Our experience with Scott and CMS landscapes was awesome! Very professional. His planning and execution was very good. His suggestions and advice was in the best interest of our needs, and he was not trying to finish off his project and move on. He came back after few months to move some trees, as that's what was best season for that operation. Highly recommended!”

“Anne & her team designed and installed front-yard landscaping for us, including adding a stone walkway. The shrubs & trees in our yard were overgrown and the house looked dated. The other landscapers we considered offered plans that followed the shape & design ideas of the existing landscaping. They essentially proposed pulling the old shrubs and replacing them with new ones of the same or a similar type. And the plants suggested we ones that are widely available at Lowes or Home Depot. In contrast, Anne pointed out specific reasons that the landscaping looked dated and uninviting, and proposed ways to fix it. She used primarily native plants, but many I'd never seen, so the plantings stand out among our neighbors. The plants are colorful year-round and low-maintence. She was able to locate a specific type of tree we'd requested (one we'd had & loved at our last house); the other two landscapers told us that they could not find any specimens. On top of all that, Anne's pricing was ultimately comparable to the other proposals we received. We receive compliments all the time & cannot recommend Anne highly enough.”

“We recently used M. Botanica to both design our backyard garden and provide spring plantings. To say that we are pleased with their work is a dramatic understatement. The backyard is simply amazing. Working with Marcelo and his expert landscape team was effortless and thoroughly enjoyable. His ideas for the project were innovative and original and the final result is an urban treasure. We cannot recommend them more highly.”
