“We admired Elements' work/photos on Houzz and they're local, so we called him to revamp our 1990s landscaping and plan a courtyard space in our suburban ATL backyard. From the get go, Doug and his team were gems to work with. He's a grad of the esteemed UGA Landscape Architecture school, and we knew that was a real plus. Additionally, he had worked with the highly regarded architect who designed our suburban home before founding Elements with his partner. “We used Pierce Landscape Designs for our patio project in our new home. There was an old deck in place and we wanted to put in a maintenance free patio with a fire pit. Jan worked with us to get our requirements and to help us design a layout for the new patio that would meet our budget. Not only did the design work our spatially, but she also took into account sun/shade, wind direction to avoid smoke from the grill (an outdoor kitchen has been planned in a later phase), and other aspect we would have never considered without her input. One of our requirements in her design was to be able to seamlessly add future phases that we could tie in later if we ever wanted to add things (such as a pool, walkway to the front, etc.). Jan created a new design for us that included future phases and worked with us to make phase 1 something we could enjoy while staying within budget. Throughout the process Jan stopped by to ensure the project was on task. Any problems or concerns we had through the process where handled quickly and to our satisfaction. Jan has also checked in with us since the project's completion to make sure we are still happy with our patio and we are...very much so.
