“A year ago, the garden at our new home was a neglected and overgrown mess, and far beyond my capabilities to bring it back to life. I had found North Leeds Garden Design on a website before we moved to Leeds, and it seemed to offer the sort of services that we were looking for. I asked Sarah Johnson to come and look at the project, and we had further site meetings before she produced a detailed plan for the restoration of the garden. I was particularly pleased that this turned out to be the style of garden that we had discussed with Sarah and not something that she wanted to impose on us. The works included new fencing and the grinding out of shrubs' roots. This part of the project was ably managed by Sarah's husband, George, who runs his own garden maintenance company. The overall outcome has matched our very high expectations, and we feel that the result has given good value for money. We can't wait to see the garden in what promises to be all it's glory in the Spring and Summer.”

“Dominic Stone of Bottle Kiln Design first provided a garden design and install contract at my previous property Old Engine Farm, Ashover Derbyshire in the early 1980's. I moved to Derry House, Matlock in 1997. I again sought Dominic out to provide a complete garden design and install, first in the late 1990's and again a more recently to refresh the original scheme with new paving to rear areas and to pave the original tarmac drive plus to lay significant surface water drainage channels and pipes. The experience I have of Dominic and his company is beyond excellent in terms of design expertise, product knowledge, installation skill, prompt work scheduling and commitment to his customer. His pricing has always been in my view realistic. In terms of his personal integrity, from the considerable experience I have had over a prolonged period of time it is beyond question, one hundred percent reliable.”

“Be warned!! This girl can read minds and really is a complete JOY to work with! We approached Emily earlier this year for help & guidance in transforming our new build, blank canvas & boring rear garden. We immediately felt at ease with her & the only real brief we could give her was that we’d like the space to remind us of a home we owned in abroad. We’d had chats about how that could look between us & so when Em came up with very similar ideas we were a bit blown away & it was a very easy yes to signing up with her. What followed was a very seamless process, fantastic communication & assurance at every stage. Em, Liam & the amazing team at Backhouse Construction & Landscaping have worked tirelessly to create not just a lovely garden but a whole new living space. We LOVE it & can’t stop looking at it There are not enough words to describe how we feel about our garden, my favourites however, are Overwhelmingly stunning!! Thank you Em, you’re a star! X”

“We would like to recommend Jonathan at Jonathan-wild@hotmail.co.uk. He has helped us immensley in getting our new garden started, designing a fabulous bespoke green house and more recently, designing a perfect site for a North facing shady area which will look wonderful and we will send a photo once it is all planted up. The head gardener at our local Garden Centre was most impressed with Jonathan's design, in fact he gave us a discount!! “We really enjoyed working with Victoria. She helped us redesign our rather tired garden layout and unimaginative plants. After an initial meeting , Victoria produced some really interesting concept designs. Her extensive plant knowledge, ideas and enthusiasm have helped us create an all round garden. It’s a pleasure to look out every day to see what’s new and to observe the seasonal changes. We’ve had lots of very positive comments from friends and passers by. Victoria project managed the transformation and had a good team working alongside her. She is very professional and brought the scheme in on budget and to an agreed timescale. We now have a striking, low maintenance garden full of interesting plants and shrubs. It is maturing well and gives us great pleasure.”
