I like the concrete bloc walls. They are becoming quite fashionable today. I'd keep them in the natural concrete color or if they have been painted, a color paint that resembles concrete. The concrete walls give a hard and cold impression so I'd choose wood flooring for the floors. The combination of a warm wood on the floor and hard, cold concrete on the walls is a nice one. Brighten the space with colorful modern art.

Take a clue from the pics....Do it's hard when you're starting and everything needs doing. Find a picture you like and use that as a guide. Do you like the looks of the colors in the two pictures above? Very simple and straight forward with beige/gray bricks and white and black accent colors for shutters and trim.

I'd like to suggest that the most important thing here is more about who is using the room. If It's a child's bedroom use lovely children's curtains - there's so much around and any pattern could pick up the wall and floor colours. If a guest room and not used often I'd suggest a beautiful velvet or good quality Linen and forbid the little ones from going in to that room!!!!!! alternately a blind attached at floor level could be raised or lowered so the view is still there but with privacy from waist height perhaps. Hi All, We are updating our bathrooms and I need to choose the color of the tiles around the vanity, shower and bath (including wall and bath boxing). One of the bathrooms has dark brown ceramic tiles, timber ceiling and brown timber wainscoting. The other two bathrooms have brown timber floors and neutral colored walls/ceiling. The light in all bathrooms is low to medium. I have chosen white vanity tops, with white basins and chrome taps. Do you think it would be too much white if all the tiles were white? Is there such a thing as too much white? Also what type of tiles are the easiest to install? Thanks
