When I select photos for my ideabook from the 'all' category, how do I know which category the photo belongs in? For example, I have an ideabook for bedrooms but want to know what style I am consistently choosing, i.e., contemporary or modern, etc.
Hi there, That's a great question. Usually, when a space is uploaded, the style should be given by the professional that uploads the photo. To see that information, go to a photo.
If you are in the slideshow view (black background), click the link you see on the lower right hand side of the page.
You should now be on the standard view for the photo. On the lower right side of the page, you will see the category that the photo belongs to, as well as the keywords that are associated with it, if any. Hope that helps!
May I also suggest some Houzz articles that identify and discuss the components of different styles? There is a whole series identifying decorating and architectural styles, and another series identifying kitchen styles. I've found them very helpful. Here is a link to the "So Your Style Is..." series: http://www.houzz.com/articles/query/So-Your-Style-Is%3A And here's a link to the "Kitchen Workbook" series: http://www.houzz.com/articles/query/Kitchen-Workbook
Thanks for both replies, I'll do as suggested. This site never fails to impress me with the depth and range of information I'm able to access and the quality of the contributors. Many thanks again....
