So we have finally decided on a kitchen design: Taken inspiration from : this is the floor plan. The dinning area will be moved to next to the steps, in front of the alfresco area. The family room will be in front of the kitchen with another outdoor area next to it. But dilemma not is that we cannot decide on plain cabinet doors or shaker style. The colour of the doors will be Satin White with black knobs matching the black granite sink and charcoal glass splash back. The bench top will most likely be something similar to Calcutta Quartz. I like the modern simplicity of plain doors but i don't want it to look too clinical. I like how shaker style adds a bit of character to the whole area, but i don't want it to look too traditional. What do you think? Any other style suggestions?

Hi, we are looking at a white and grey kitchen where the main part of the kitchen would be a white satin finish, and our double pantries on one wall would be a light grey matt finish. i want to know if this is unusual to have two types of finishes within the kitchen ie satin and matt? we have no high cabinets, all the white is low and the grey is on one wall with two pantries and the fridge cabintery.

Working on my new kitchen and keep questioning my decision on cabinetry My kitchen company does prime laminate laser edge - very durable / scratch resistant /finger resistant soft Matt - I'm doing black velvet along back of kitchen and surrender cabinetry around island . I've seen the finish and don't mind it but it isn't as seamless as ide like but hubby said you won't really see it ! Or Vinyl wrap completely seamless but I believe not as durable ? I love the idea of seamless but durability and quality is my 100% want I kinda didn't think there were so many options so it's been overwhelming . Thoughts on cabinetry finish?
