Ideas for in my bathroom?
Comments (5)With a nice clean space like that you can go a lot of different ways. I would start by looking at shower curtains, because they can become the focal point. When you find one or two (or more) that you like, you can play off of the colors in the curtain to find the color towels, bath mat, and even wall color. Some ideas: You could go classic black and white, with a touch of something bright if you want for an accent (like the fuscia in the photo) Or something "spa-like," in acqua and cream. Or you could go bright, with teal and lime green. Another classic look: tan walls, white and/or tan towels and bathmat, simple white accessories. Good luck!...See MoreNeed help with my bathrooms
Comments (3)Lindsey, I see you have a couple inspiration boards, use ideas for colors, styles, finishes, faucets, counter tops, etc for your new home, just on a smaller scale. Maybe find your dream bath and copy those finishes into your small space. Vanities ideas could include an antique piece repurposed. Tile can be cold, yet, carpet and wood do not do well in wet areas. With that said, there are heating systems available now that are installed beneath the tile to take the chill off. My other trick is using one large rug runner to almost fill the size of the area instead of tiny bath mats....See Moresmall bathroom - adding a bath for the kids
Comments (6)I understand your need to bathe your little people but I would not change a thing in this bathroom. What I would do is find a bathing station that could be placed in the shower temporarily until your little folks are no longer little, By the way, bath tubs regardless of the lovely ads that show sumptuous bathing areas as components of enormous and well appointed master bedrooms, are passe. A great idea 150 years ago and for the most part the only reasonable and effective solution. Today, bathing in most homes happens very infrequently and adding a tub to your space would be the tail wagging the dog. Keep the nice space you have created and add a temporary bathing solution. Comments (14)We have a 900x900 shower and it's plenty big enough. Neither of your proposed layouts looks that great, to be perfectly honest, sorry! In the first layout, you could improve it quite a lot by swapping the toilet and vanity (centre the toilet under the window on the bottom right of the picture if possible), and having the shower door on the other wall (beside the door). Then, you could have a towel rail on the wall beside the door (i.e. behind the door when it's open), which would be accessible from the shower but hidden when the door was open. An 800x1200 shower might be a good size for your space. You'd have to choose a toilet that doesn't protrude too far, plus a narrow vanity. With that layout, you could have a long but narrow wall-hung vanity, with a big mirror covering the wall between the windows, which would make the room feel bigger and would give a good amount of storage.
