Landscaping difficulty

We have in floor heat so the perimeter of our home has sheet insulation underground about 18 inches out to about 4 feet. Can't get grass to grow in some of these areas. We'd like to plant some border perennials. Any ideas?

    Hi Jan,

I would suggest a clean border of crushed rock around the edging of the house. Or build a small bed out of pressure treated 4x6 and fill it with low maintenance plants. Whatever route you choose, keep it consistent or complimentary to another aspect of the yard or the exterior of the house. Hope this helps!
