Thank you for your question about this stunning custom home. The 12x12 posts are vintage fir from the 1900's! They were media blasted with walnut shells to clean them up a little but they do not have a sealer or a stain applied to them. The vintage oak ceiling beams are hand-hewn. Neither a sealer nor a stain was added to the ceiling beams that date back to the mid-1800's. The vintage materials were purchased from Vintage Timberworks in San Diego, (North County) California. The squared off beams are Douglas Fir with a custom stain mix. We hope you will follow us to see more of the custom details we are working on right now.
