Medicine cabinets have come along way in recent years. The best option is to get a frameless style and integrate it into a wall of mirror. You can mount sconces thru the mirror on either side of the cabinet. If you have walls on either side of the sink, you can put the cabinets to the side, integrated into mirror again. My husband and I are at a stalemate. I love the look of frameless shaker cabinets for our kitchen, but my husband thinks the edge-tape along the inside edges of the frameless will peel off and that it looks cheap. I feel like framed cabinets are old-fashioned and will make our kitchen look dated. My husband is more concerned about longevity and quality than appearances.
