Yes, this White Cherokee marble was honed. Not only does it provide an attractive aesthetic, but it also makes it more resilient. White Cherokee is a historic marble that is quarried in Tate, Georgia, just north of Atlanta and has supplied building stone for architectural projects for over a century. It is a very dense marble, even more dense than White Carrara from Italy, with a low absorption rate. It's large calcite crystalline structure is very compact and will wear beautifully throughout the years.
