My husband and I are at a stalemate. I love the look of frameless shaker cabinets for our kitchen, but my husband thinks the edge-tape along the inside edges of the frameless will peel off and that it looks cheap. I feel like framed cabinets are old-fashioned and will make our kitchen look dated. My husband is more concerned about longevity and quality than appearances. Does anyone have photos of their white shaker kitchen with framed cabinets? I am having a hard time finding photos.

Two slightly seperate thoughts -- -- V Groove may be hard to clean ? Also , it will look a bit 'homestead' -- I don't know if that look is really right here ? -- I suspect anything too white will not look great -- even the existing kitchen looks too much the same IMO , even allowing for ( or maybe added to by ) the avocado olive . The first thing I noticed was the clock , because of the colours . The plaque above the stove , and the stools , also all add to the existing scheme , as they show imagination as well as colour . The things I dislike are the 2 black hanging lights , and the 'nothing' colour of the spalshback -- whilst they wouldn't really work in a red or orange or yellow while there is that avocado , in a whiter or ( ironically ) a black and white based colour scheme , brighter light shades and a complimentary splashback or tiles ( r / y / o ) would really add . In other words , if you went white upper cupboards , do charcoal lower ones , or charcoal benchtops ( or cedar doors if going for natural wood ) ; then add some more colour to add to the overall look .

Working on my new kitchen and keep questioning my decision on cabinetry My kitchen company does prime laminate laser edge - very durable / scratch resistant /finger resistant soft Matt - I'm doing black velvet along back of kitchen and surrender cabinetry around island . I've seen the finish and don't mind it but it isn't as seamless as ide like but hubby said you won't really see it ! Or Vinyl wrap completely seamless but I believe not as durable ? I love the idea of seamless but durability and quality is my 100% want I kinda didn't think there were so many options so it's been overwhelming . Thoughts on cabinetry finish?
