This is a really awkward space! What about trying to build a unit into the corner which seems to be dead space. This could house the television and other bits like dvr,amp etc. The unit could then extend out towards the door in length and in height either up to the start of the window or up to the start of the blinds. I would suggest drawers for toy storage and books above. In this way you leave the windows clear for light plus it looks like you have a pull down screen so the tv would be out of the way of that. This arrangement would also hide all those wires and cables! If you are planning on having this built you need to discuss it with the carpenter and have him draw up plans. If you are looking for premade cabinetry it is doubtful you will find something that will accommodate the pole. We would be able to make further suggestions once you have a plan for the cabinet as far as storage and design. From what you are looking for I suggest a full wall built in cabinet customized for your needs.

as a mum I agree worktop is priority, but also there's extreemly little cupboard storage so I would stick with the pantry cupboard and add a freestanding ikea Varde unit like attached pic ( I would have preferred integrated dishwasher too and a bit of moulding/ shape to the door style in a perfect world ) where's the fridge supposed to go?
