Comments (5)That heat pump doesn't look too bad. It kind of blends in, and it's above eye level so it's not immediately noticeable. I like Darzy's idea of a rug to bring your space to life with some color and pattern. I'm also wondering if the TV could be moved to the spot under the heat pump? Alternately, could the TV go on the wall where your sofa currently is, then have the sofa where the two recliners currently are, and the recliners would go on the end facing the TV?...See MoreDining room help please ...
Comments (26)Hi Jennifer K, thanks for your comments. The photos you have posted are really lovely but not really suited to our environment and house, which I know is impossible to tell from one photo. We have built a modern farmhouse on 10 acres. That room looks out to beautiful green countryside and the river below. The dining room is a bit of a feature and is completely different to the rest of our relaxed lodgey style house but I don't want it to be too modern, if that makes sense. The photos have given me a few ideas so thank you so much for your help!...See MoreWall tiles in living room & dining room. Yes or No.
Comments (1)I think, like you said, due to the fact that there's a larger space when it comes to the hotel lobbies is the reason as to why it works. I think that no matter what you put on the walls (whether it be concrete or marble) will result in tiles not working out. The industrial look tends to be exposed brickwork anyway, or cream or white colours so maybe that's an option you could look into. What did you end up doing?...See MoreLiving/Dining room layout help!
Comments (0)Hi I have recently moved into a new house and am needing some advice on how best to utilise the living/dining room. The room is a bit tricky as there are very few walls with no windows/doors to place the TV on. Currently with the set up the angle between the TV and the sofa is not great. I also feel that with the current layout there is a lot of wasted space in the middle of the room. The photos are from the house listing so that is not my furniture...I currently only have the furniture in the floor plan (minus to 2 arm chairs but I would like to get some arm chairs for a reading corner) Any advice on where to best position the TV living area and the dining are would be great. Thanks...See MoreUser
