Describe Scandinavian style in one word
Comments (5)I really like the white chairs with the metal cross over and wooden legs. You put some on a post together with bar stools to match just recently. Would luv some of these. Luv the whole look of wood and white or soft blue, calming, uncluttered, and simple beauty. I wouldn't mind some ideas on helping open airy and large spaces look a little more cosy tho', without moving away from the general feel, just adding a little bit of cosy. I'll be working on this one over the next few years for sure....See MoreKitchen layout — help please!!
Comments (1)With the pantry being located where it is, it provides a opportunity to make it inbuilt and continue your bench top along. This would then provide more bench space and would make sure you are using that wall to its full potential. However for space and flow and to make your kitchen more ascetically pleasing, we would suggest keeping the island bench and making the appliances integrated. This provides opportunity to make that far wall a feature wall, which can be as simple as a blackboard or pictures, to making it a colour feature (depending on you cabinetry) or even to make it high class you could create a wood paneling feature. I hope this helps, either way you can add bonus features to your kitchen, you can create more storage and bench space with changing the pantry, or you could make a design feature out of that wall. It is up to you and where you design flair may take you. Good luck! :) If you would like to see these designs with a quote please call us on 03 423 9067 and we can organise a free one for you. Below are some pictures - in built pantry vs. feature wall. (making where the appliances are a low bench top with below cabinets). (goes beautifully with a black and white colour palette)....See MoreOffice/Craft Room redesign help
Comments (6)An entire wall of built-in cabinets and hooks and cubbies for your crafting stuff (and perhaps filing-type stuff and printer for the office). Take a good look at what you have and think about how best to organize and store it and what could be displayed to be pretty and what should be hidden behind curtains or doors. A fold down ironing board on a wall or back of a door somewhere would be great. A nice desk and filing cabinet for the office side... or perhaps a great big table in the middle under the window, wide enough to function for both of you facing each other? A nice curtain rod would make a big difference too. Preferably just about floor to ceiling. I'd put a splash of colour on the walls and keep the curtains simple, but you could go vice-versa too. Comments (1)A lovely rug on the floor would be nice. You seem to have some space, yet your table is pushed against the wall. You could consider a bigger table for centre of the room or making it into an office / desk / book shelf / comfy chair. You have lovely sun coming in. Even a bean bag and a small coffee table could make a difference. A medium sized plant would also look great. Set a budget and stick to it, re-purpose things if you can and / or buy second hand so you don't break the bank. I love the little air vent on the floor it looks like a little mouse house. Maybe you can get some removable stickers and make an art piece or at least a little mouse running to the hole....See MoreDr Retro House Calls
