Need wall colour suggestions to complement a concrete wall
Comments (5)Deep gray and all the other accents in silvery old wood and cream. This will add drama, allow the other elements to bring ion light and set off the concrete wall as a true feature. If you want light instead of drama, then go for a very pale beige stone. It will echo stone colours in both the concrete and rocks......See MoreHow do I design my living room around this chandelier?
Comments (22)As chookchook said in her recommendation about painting, put a drop cloth on the floor. Get a very safe ladder. remove the lightbulbs, and cover the outlets. Turn off the electricity to the chandelier. Then spray it with a mild cleaner (I use one I found at Target that's basically water with vinegar, until it's dripping wet. Start at the bottom and work your way up, so you don't have dirty spray dripping on the bottom of the chandelier.Work your way up and down until the dripping spray is clean. The chandelier may be gorgeous and expensive, but it seems totally out of place in the architecture of the room--more at home in a chalet than a sunny room with a window wall. I would probably try to find a way to get it removed, and sell it to someone who appreciated it better than I....See MoreNeed help with this sad living room
Comments (5)If this photo from your ideabook is the look you are going for, try adding a rug and inexpensive coffee table. The other thing you could change easily would be curtains or other window treatments in a zingy color or pattern. Perhaps there are curtains in another part of the house that could be swapped with these? Try taking them down to get a good look at the blank space possibilities....See MoreNeed ideas & advice for my Gardens - Mediterranean/Tuscan style
