I think the white trim gives it a much more contemporary look. It's more work to have it done in a different color, but the overall look is cleaner.

You have lovely pieces to work with. To my mind, it appears you have a long and a short MCM credenza/buffet. I'd prefer them switched and then move the art pieces so they take up no more than 75% of the credenza's length. Also keep them closer to the furniture and lower than the door and window frames if possible. Red is a wonderfully appetizing color and I'd love to see it on the dining room wall as well, although I know it may make the air unit more obvious. The dining wall is the one I'd fill with a bookcase for the cookbooks. As a one-time owner of nearly 100 cookbooks, I found they made for great dinner party conversation, along with an unabridged two-volume set of the English language dictionary. An IKEA bookcase could work well and hold plenty of books. The white shelf system with the red wall behind and the backs of the shelves painted red would look great! Or you can paint the bookcase red and leave the wall white. Group books by color for another touch of fun! Don't forget to show off some great "foodie" accessories too.

Looking for some advice on what to do with our A-frame house bedroom windows. Currently, there is a curtain track that goes across the window, but it leaves the top of the triangle uncovered - which isn't ideal when the sun comes up at 5am in summer! Any suggestions on what kind of window treatments might work? We don't want to permanently cover the top triangle, so looking for a solution that would allow us to cover (and uncover) the entire window.

Hi, I'm trying to decide what to do about my window furnishings. I'm thinking in bedrooms to have sheers for privacy and then block out curtains for night, but don't really want double track as sticks out too much. Is it possible to have track inside window frame/recess? and is this a good idea? Any other ideas? It has been suggested I could go with a sheer blind for sun and privacy and curtains for blockout at night. In the rooms is also a wide but small window above window which will probably have a blind? Appreciate any advice
