Any luck choosing a color yet? Any pics you can share to get an idea of what you are working with?

The front door is around the other side by the way! The windows are aluminium so cannot be changed. It is all rather ugly at the moment.

Yes we have painted chimney breast (white- same as walls) We have a bought a huge dark grey mirror (metal) which has a slightly industrial feel but also in a traditional French style shape (I'm not describing this very well!) the two combinations will hopefully work well in a tradition villa, giving it a modern look. But we really need an injection of colour to lift everything. Am looking for some copper/metallic bedside lights. Looking for a shade of white to compliment the exterior cladding on our new house - don't want a shade of white that is too bright - something that will look good with "matt charcoal"
