Should we put a skylight over our shower?

Hi, we want to add a skylight over our shower, but have some concerns.

It’s a large double shower, 1800mm x 990mm and we want the skylight over there entire shower so all you see is wall and then glass - no frame visible.

Our ensuite does already have a decent sized window, we just want to add a skylight as a wow-factor and make the bathroom feel more luxurious.

I’m concerned with condensation and eventually mold.

I know you can get openable skylights, but not in custom sizes so we will be going fixed glass.

The skylight will be double glazed, argon filled, LowE. So this will help with the condensation, but with a hot shower, the steam will rise into the light well.

I was thinking to add a ducted wall mounted fan in the light well to extract the moisture.

However I’m also concerned the fan will create an unpleasant draught while using the shower.

Even though it’s double glazed, I’m still concerned the shower will feel cold in winter and hot in summer.

Also I’m concerned whether having a skylight over the shower worth doing or not. It looks awesome in photos, but is it practical and is it worth doing?

Have any of you got skylights over the shower? How do you find it?

Here’s an example of what we want to achieve.
