Tiling toilet walls - how far up to go?

We're tiling our toilet room, which is only the width of the toilet with a small amount of space each side. I want tiles for hygienic reasons but am unsure whether to tile all the way to the ceiling on all 4 walls or only part way up...any opinions on what is 'on trend'? The bathroom in the adjacent room is tiled to the ceiling.
