We aren’t sure whether to paint interior trims on a 1950/60s house semi or full gloss? The walls will be lexicon low sheen. Interior trims are in relatively good condition.
It depends on the condition of the timber trims and how authentic you want to be. Originally the trims would have been done in a full gloss. But if you are repainting original trims from the 1950's or 1960's they have probably been knocked around a bit and the surface will be far from perfect. A full gloss will emphasize any imperfections unless you do a lot of preparation to get rid of them all. A semi-gloss is probably a safer choice, easier to get right, and at the end of the day doesn't look wrong.
