This particular ladder was about 9 feet from floor to floor. We custom build each ship ladder to the needs of each project. In general, ship ladders have riser heights 9" - 11" high. We also tailor the run to the needs of the space. In general tread run is 3" - 5". This ship ladder came out about 3 feet from the edge of the loft. This ladder is also a bit more narrow than usual at 18" wide. Most of our ship ladders are 24", but we can make nearly any width - with a suggested max of 30".
