Comments (21)I think we are going to use the white subway tile to keep the budget down as I priced new tiles and it would blow out the budget. Really like the contrast grout idea to add a bit of texture and pattern. My partner is a builder and he loves the reclaimed wood shelf idea as we have a lot of spear old wood left over from the renovation. We have made a dinning table and fire place mantel from it already so it would tie in really well....See MoreSmall Media/sitting Room
Comments (24)Oh so cool you noticed that we're trying to achieve a french country/industrial look or did we write that somewhere? I've attached some other photos of a bedroom and the foyer (of those we've taken so far), but are absolutely open to suggestions on a "beachy" feel as well or instead of. Although because its a beach house we don't want to go over board on expense and hence keeping what we already have, and just adding personality to it, if you get what we mean. Comments (11)I have a cabinet already should fit there, so did think about that already...maybe I am just having a hard time picturing it. We are designing a 'contemporary' house, so I would say it is fairly modern with touches of older/more vintage pieces. I will take a picture of my cabinet tonight to see what you guys think. But I guess most photos/when I think of buffet cabinet I picture more traditional pieces. If anyone has a more modern take would be great!...See MoreHelp! I need shelving ideas for this wall
Comments (1)We have been renovating an 80's home with a vaulted roof in the living/kitchen/dining area, something like your picture. We needed to make the space look bigger so we opted to hang our tv from the roof using an Adtec tv bracket in white, pretty nifty unit, all wiring, aerials etc go up the mounting pole and through the roof. The unit also swivels 360 degrees which is great for any view point in the room, including our outside area. We had a tv unit custom built by Jarramar Furniture which is like a rather large floating cupboard. The unit has 2 draws and one cupboard. All the cords etc come down the wall in the adjoining room behind the door, neatly packed into duct and back into the back of the floating cupboard. It's very neat and tidy, keeps everything off the ground and makes your space look bigger. Both Adtec and Jarramar have websites where you can check out their stuff. You just need to ensure your tv weights are ok for the Adtec unit your wish to purchase. Good luck with your design....See Moresiriuskey
