We were hoping to save and restore the original boards, but they are beyond saving. Now we need to figure out how to even the floor to lay laminate over the top. any tips on yellow tongue or Masonite slabs? It’s thrown the budget out, so cheaper options appreciated. Unfortunately there are serious gaps so liquid floor leveler won’t work.

Looks like you pulled out the wall and floors are at diff levels. Will need to pack up lower level. Talk to the flooring people

We’ve already packed out the floor joists so floor is level, have relayed boards to close gaps. But a lot of the tongues on boards were worn or gone leaving small gaps. Also found some boards were different thicknesses by a

couple of mm, and multiple boards had bends or just wear in areas, leaving multiple dips and waves in floor. But only by mm.
