I am getting my outdoor bbq area done and want to go the same colour as our kitchen.

They do 13mm compact laminate (now discontinued but have some remaining) Or they have the 16mm standard laminate, which is the exact same as inside.

Person installing suggested to go the normal as the 13mm is too thin and will look cheap etc.

Compact laminate is more designed for outdoors.

Has anyone gone with the standard laminate outside, under an alfresco? If so, have you had any issues?

Where the bbq is being installed will be protected from any weather.
