After many years of great service looking at updating our lounge suites in our Lodges but need some design tips.
Need a sofa bed lounge as we can sleep up to 6 with 2 x queen bedrooms.
Need to be robust fabric, prefer cushions that can be turned over and arm covers to stop the wear & tear.
Currently we have 2 x 2 seaters and double sofa bed.
A suggestion is a collection of similar items but not exactly matching or even drop one double sofa for 2 x high back single chairs.
Will be putting a larger TV wall mounted above current small one.
Prefer not to repaint at before xmas as still fresh.
Currently have a large grey carpet rug.
We are an eco retreat set in a 100ac conservation sanctuary so after a comfy not modern theme, hopefully timeless style.
The large stereo has been replace with a JBL speaker.
Has a custom made farm sourced custom made Sheoak coffee table.
Suggestions welcome, kind regards Joy

West Elm, Brosa have a good range of sofa beds, try Temple and Webster, Freedom or coco republic for high end, sturdy fabric, even think micro suede for easy clean, an initial Scotchgard treatment is best so any mishaps can be easily wiped away, a set up similar to this with sofa bed and two chairs would look great as well.
I would not do a light colour as it shows the dirt. Grey marle is good, a bit of colour variation
Yes definitely no light colours, we are on a farm/conservation sanctuary and do have children.
Yes a dark grey would look great, you could add a touch of mustard, this would look lovely in the room and look warm and inviting.Sounds like a wonderful place.
Was thinking of timber cabinets table and chairs - a Hamptons style with leaving natural timber tops and light coloured painted lower sections. Been saving photos on Houzz in folder for ideas as it's a big task but very aware of budget constraints plus must be hard wearing and easy to clean. Be an interesting challenge!
Hamptons won’t suit the location and will detract from what you are trying to do. It’s also a dated look that you won’t get longevity out of. If you’re keeping the current furniture you can strip (and bleach) it. Have a look at Pintrest for DIY. This would give you an updated look with minimal $ outlay, just elbow grease.
The following picks up ideals from your saved pictures.
Refresh paint in a soft white
Remove absolutely everything that isn’t essential
Strip wood furniture back to remove the orange and give it new life.
Add Tan sofa plus grey sofa bed plus artwork. This artwork is from a local in my area but I’m sure you’ll have someone in your area. The sofas are available from budget retailers.
You could have green armchairs or a other accent colour. Wicker lampshades are readily available and quick cheap.
some update pics, new vinyl grey tone flooring, lots of Ikea boxes later. Now retiling kitchen with large off white tiles and cupboard door yet to be painted to new off white colour, finally getting there!
