It is 80's . No matter what you do , it'll be 80's , or have 80's elements . I don't like painted bricks or rendered ones , but if you did either , you've still got the windows .

Change below the windows to wood , or paint them black , or orange or red , and its still 80's .

Clean the roof , paint the gutter yellow , and its still 80's .

So I'd just clean and repaint the white . maybe play with red or yellow highlights , maybe redo the portico , but I'd do a more modern garden -- thats the one thing that will make a difference .

I think brick can look great with almost any combination of white grey or greys and black and an accent colour. You need to be more careful how you do it if using black. Dark blue or teal can also work well with brick. Your brick is not the usual 'red' brick so you need to be careful with tone selection.

First thing on your house is to get rid of the single line of dark trim on the white panels under the windows. That really dates the house. The small window panes also indicate the age of the house. You can't escape this without large expense which you possibly would not recoup when selling unless you are upgrading from single glazed to double or triple etc.

I'd also paint the soffit grey rather than white for a good update.

Lanscaping will have a large impact for relatively small outlay. I'd delete large plants near the house to maximise light into the home. Put more and larger planting near the street for big impact and privacy to the front yard.

Also, if power washing the concrete roof tiles, be careful. You may cause them to leak where they previously may not have leaked. You might need to apply a new coating to prevent this. I would consult several companies that do this and seek one that offers a leak free guarantee, and hold them to it. Ask them specifically about this issue so they know your concerns and are not able to back out of the guarantee. Of course, make sure the company you go with is reputable.

Also just wanted to add to your info on cleaning the tiled roof - we had a leaking tiled roof after it was cleaned and was told by our insurance company that if the tiles were not repointed and insepcted every couple of years our insurance would not cover leaks. Check your insurance policy. They will wiggle out of it if they can. I've agree with the above re colours but the carport could be updated by removing the 'lattice' and then running a vine around under the roofline to soften the look.

I've obviously got different tastes to most others. I find the Namadji colour (or black) too dark with that colour brickwork. If it was my house, I'd go for a pale colour. If you wanted to spend the money, you could replace the windows and the panels below with windows that go to the floor, and without all the square bits.

I agree with Kath. You have dark bricks and grout and adding more dark colours would be drab imo. I like houses to be welcoming not dark and dreary.
Paint the solid panes one solid colour to redevelop their visual impact. Replace the trellis or remove it in the carport for more modern look
