Will the buffet be swapped for white too?

Hi Kate, No i will not be swapping the buffet for white as I love this mid-century buffet that was in my childhood home. I am now reconsidering the white in the space. I may remove the tv cabinet and go for a table that is similar in colour to the buffet.

I think your buffet is lovely, I would try and incorporate that in the look of your chairs and table also, happy shopping.

Temple and Webster are having a sale at the moment, you might find something you like for your tv cabinet .

The white tv cabinet links to the white table. And the chairs with wooden Julie has shown link the white with vintage buffet so it all starts to relate. Every piece needs a cousin in the space otherwise it look’s disjointed.

You need some items that bring the elements together. At the moment you have some white furniture, light wood chairs, mid tone wood floors, red wood buffet and black leather sofa...it looks disjointed and busy. By getting the correct table and chairs will help sort the problem. You really need at least something else in the same red wood tones of buffet if you are going to keep it, because at the moment that is what stands out the most as 'not fitting'

Hi Robandlyn, Thanks for your comment. The light wood chairs aren't in the room normally, They are brown leather sofas. I also have a teak coffee table that goes with the buffet. I think I will remove the white and stick with wood tomes. I appreciate your feedback.

A rough idea, timber loves timber and with the floor rug in the living area it should work. Julies TV stand or even a simple one that attaches to the wall. Your chairs could work by changing the covers

Siriuskey. Thanks - I think I will be moving towards a wood table. Getting the colour right is going to be a bit tricky. The chairs are going as they are very uncomfortable. Great idea with putting the colour in the space.

I love wood but be careful to not overdo it.

And don’t forget you have your kitchen to work with as well. I’d use a white table with chairs that tie to the vintage buffet.
