We are in the middle of moving so obviously stuff is everywhere. I just figured out how to add photos.

Yes the purple lighting does look horrible. I would change the orange coloured hybrid floors. Pay the money. Keep the kitchen and dining room the grey floors and change the dated orange. You may be able to sell them to someone else if they are not stuck down.

Are you moving in or out? If moving out, then definitely change the lighting, but leave the hybrid panel floors for the next person.

My dad chose the orange and I chose grey. Both installed within the last 2 months. So disappointed with the combo. My partner and I are moving out. It is my dads house.

If your dad is staying, then leave as is. Save the money. He chose the orange so does he still like it? If not change the orange for the grey. Otherwise just leave as is.

Yes it was a mistake for you to choose a different floor for kitchen dining area. Replacement cost is a matter for you and your dad to weigh up.
Firstly paint the kitchen shelves in the wall colour. Second replace the kitchen curtains with a blind. Handy hack to hold the chopping boards off window behind sink-install a slim towel rail below window.
4.the dining dresser. Paint it black or white. Can’t see table colour so may need to address that too. 5. Dining light swap for more modern shade.
6 add a dark strip of paper on the floor in the archway to separate the two floors. See if visually breaking the two helps.
Then sit back and rethink the floor

I called it dining dresser. In terms of rail location and height need to fit to suit your need to keep wet , chopping board from leaning on curtain
