Layout my kitchen!
Comments (15)The first thing I require each of my clients to do before even starting the design layout is to choose their appliances. Your kitchen designer will need the manufacturer's specifications to know what size to make the cabinets to accommodate them. Be aware that there is required distances needed around and island, typically 36" up to 48" depending on placements of appliances. This will dictate the size and shape of the island. Clean lines, simplicity, innovative materials like glass countertops, exotic woods or Italian veneer slab doors, flip or lift up doors can add unexpected touches to a modern/ contemporary space. Here are some photos of one of my favorite Euro Modern kitchen I did for one of my clients not long ago....See MoreBest bathroom layout for my first house? Help please!
Comments (14)We have a 900x900 shower and it's plenty big enough. Neither of your proposed layouts looks that great, to be perfectly honest, sorry! In the first layout, you could improve it quite a lot by swapping the toilet and vanity (centre the toilet under the window on the bottom right of the picture if possible), and having the shower door on the other wall (beside the door). Then, you could have a towel rail on the wall beside the door (i.e. behind the door when it's open), which would be accessible from the shower but hidden when the door was open. An 800x1200 shower might be a good size for your space. You'd have to choose a toilet that doesn't protrude too far, plus a narrow vanity. With that layout, you could have a long but narrow wall-hung vanity, with a big mirror covering the wall between the windows, which would make the room feel bigger and would give a good amount of storage. Comments (2)Hi, apologies in advance for the shoddy drawing, I haven't got the mad skills to do it beautifully on the tablet. The big built in is what I wish to keep, I think I can live with moving the smaller one next to the tiny wood stove and moving that stove too. Thank you!!...See MoreKitchen/scullery/laundry layout help please!
Comments (0)so we are renovating the kitchen/laundry area and need some advice about the layout. It’s quite a large space, and I’ve leant towards the current layout and adding a window to the side wall where that cupboard is. But I love the idea of a sink at the window, and also think the sloping ceiling would look better with the sink on that wall. Removing ranch slider. measurements for that wall into laundry (behind fridge) are 6200 long, 1500 wide. Current opening is 800 and the kitchen is 4350 Along the back wall. Any recommendations for layout?...See MoreKatie S
