We used two colors on the cabinetry to draw the eye of the viewer up, and followed with the strong horizontal lines to anchor the design. The result is a soft and approachable masculinity. Big island faces the Family room and easily sits 5.

Contrast rules for this Rustic Modern Kitchen Design. Deep Grey flooring is juxtaposed with the white cabinets; the oversized, industrial appliances is flanked by rustik RH maritime pendants. The mix here works wonders, borrowing tones and textures from vintage and modern design alike—the minimalist design would work equally well in a sleek Italian kitchen as it would in a traditional setting—to create a look that’s timeless.

The Home Doctors worked with the San Francisco Building dpt to legalize this Okeefe oven in this Glen Park home. It took about three months and some pretty drastic changes to get it passed (se the before photo) The goal was to make it look kike it had always been there....I think it worked!

Double island concept keeps the cook from being crowded by guests and allows plenty of room to spread out guests and food. The suspended soffit helps make high ceilings more interesting by breaking up the empty space above the direct sight line of upper cabinets.
