These clients retained MMI to assist with a full renovation of the 1st floor following the Harvey Flood. With 4 feet of water in their home, we worked tirelessly to put the home back in working order. While Harvey served our city lemons, we took the opportunity to make lemonade. The kitchen was expanded to accommodate seating at the island and a butler's pantry. A lovely free-standing tub replaced the former Jacuzzi drop-in and the shower was enlarged to take advantage of the expansive master bathroom. Finally, the fireplace was extended to the two-story ceiling to accommodate the TV over the mantel. While we were able to salvage much of the existing slate flooring, the overall color scheme was updated to reflect current trends and a desire for a fresh look and feel. As with our other Harvey projects, our proudest moments were seeing the family move back in to their beautifully renovated home.

This beautiful home they have created features an expansive open floor plan, an absolutely to-die-for view, and luxurious interior features that will surely captivate. Lovely home, great job! As you can see our kitchen is a single wall design with a large island for entertaining and meal preparation, and features a two-tone color combo that is becoming ever so popular. The large one-plane island is becoming a standard design these days over the raised bar top style, as it provides one large working surface if needed, as well as keeps the room open and does not partition the kitchen and the living room, allowing for a more free-flowing entertainment space. The bathrooms take a more elegant, transitional approach over the contemporary kitchen, definitely giving off a spa-like feel in each. The master bathroom boasts a beautifully tiled shower area, which compliments the white cabinetry and black countertops very well, and definitely makes for a grand impression when entering. The bathrooms were one of my favorite spaces to design! With all the modern comforts one would want, yet dressed elegantly vintage. With gold hardware, unique lighting, and spa-like walk-in showers and bathtubs, it's truly a luxurious adaptation of grand design in today's contemporary style. Our design team completely redesigned this primary bathroom, adding functional features designed to enhance comfort, accessibility, and storage. Two separate showers offer personalized showering experiences, featuring diverse spray options from gentle mist to invigorating massage. A spacious, light-filled shower with glass enclosure and natural light creates a spa-like retreat, while the zero-entry design with separate entrances ensures ease of use for all. A long freestanding tub caters to taller individuals, providing a luxurious soaking haven. Dual vanities with ample counter space and abundant storage, illuminated by new ceiling and vanity lighting, cater to individual needs. Durable and stylish granite countertops with integrated soap edges and shelves offer practical and attractive surfaces. Additional storage solutions at each vanity, a dedicated linen closet, and a separate water closet with quartz countertops and soap accents maximize storage potential.

This stunning bungalow with fully finished basement features a large Muskoka room with vaulted ceiling, full glass enclosure, wood fireplace, and retractable glass wall that opens to the main house. There are spectacular finishes throughout the home. One very unique part of the build is a comprehensive home automation system complete with back up generator and Tesla charging station in the garage.

Eclectic, bold and neutral black and tan master bathroom. Limestone 12x24 floors, white walls, and black wash white oak vanities. Modern, flat panel vanities are made of white oak with a black stain and ribbed antique brass hardware. Gorgeous brushed brass faucets with knurled detailing from Brizo Litze collection. Bronze and brass sconces from Visual Comfort flank an antique brass mirror. Hudson Valley bronze and brass flush mount light over soaker bathtub. A spa like freestanding bathtub is flanked by 2 his and her vanities. A natural, leathered black granite counter top accents the tan limestone floors and black accents. Woven African baskets, turkish towels and an antique Turkish rug finish off this boho eclectic look.

We took this dated Master Bathroom and leveraged its size to create a spa like space and experience. The expansive space features a large vanity with storage cabinets that feature SOLLiD Value Series – Tahoe Ash cabinets, Fairmont Designs Apron sinks, granite countertops and Tahoe Ash matching mirror frames for a modern rustic feel. The design is completed with Jeffrey Alexander by Hardware Resources Durham cabinet pulls that are a perfect touch to the design. We removed the glass block snail shower and the large tub deck and replaced them with a large walk-in shower and stand-alone bathtub to maximize the size and feel of the space. The floor tile is travertine and the shower is a mix of travertine and marble. The water closet is accented with Stikwood Reclaimed Weathered Wood to bring a little character to a usually neglected spot!
