Situated in rural east Templeton is the Santa Barbara style estate that is the Castillo Residence. It exemplifies the classic nature of old world Spain, sporting massive timber trusses, authentic terra cotta tile flooring and pristine white washed walls. The entry to the residence is suitably grand, with a sweeping stair case up to a landing that overlooks the antique wood front door. The house boasts lofty ceilings in the great room, and a two story library complete with spiral stair case. This house was not only designed to suit its human residents but also its canine residents, and they have their own room off of the 5-car garage at the lower level. The master suite occupies a full wing of the residence, at a mere 1,700 square feet, providing space for a master sitting room, bedroom, bathroom, and sprawling walk in closets with laundry facilities. There are a plethora of outdoor living spaces, including a full outdoor kitchen, reflecting pool water feature and massive covered porches overlooking the Templeton countryside.

This Altadena home is the perfect example of modern farmhouse flair. The powder room flaunts an elegant mirror over a strapping vanity; the butcher block in the kitchen lends warmth and texture; the living room is replete with stunning details like the candle style chandelier, the plaid area rug, and the coral accents; and the master bathroom’s floor is a gorgeous floor tile. This large Scripps Ranch master bathroom remodel is luxurious and functional, incorporating soothing neutral tones and plenty of customized details . The spacious double vanity also features a seating area, ideal for capturing the natural light as you go through your morning routine. The large walk-in shower features dual showerheads and discreet shampoo nook cleverly situated behind the pony wall to keep clutter hidden. In its original state, this bathroom had a large soaking tub that hadn’t been used in years and since they had the space, the client was eager to transform it into a large walk-in shower which better suited their lifestyle. A beautiful mosaic tile was selected for the accent walls and lends dimension to the space while perfectly marrying the other material selections. This bathroom achieved the homeowner’s dream of having a spa-like oasis in their home.

Description: What once was an ugly duckling is now a beautiful swan. The old bathtub has been replaced with curbless shower which eliminates the trip over entrance. A new diffused glass vinyl clad window replaced the old wood sash window which was covered by a shower curtain, adding much needed natural light to the space. Bright white larger format subway tile is used to enlarge the visual space of the shower reflecting the light from the window. A boho inspired mosaic floor tile flows into the curbless shower expanding the feel of this small 36 square foot bath. A recessed medicine cabinet is placed in a wave patterned glass tile feature that runs from the counter top to the ceiling. For added ease of care, the vanity floats 10" above the floor with motion sensor lights for night time. The shower set features a angular shower column with multi function large format shower head and hand held shower both pressure and temperature controlled. Towels are kept at hand on a floating shelf above the commode.

This 2 story home with a first floor Master Bedroom features a tumbled stone exterior with iron ore windows and modern tudor style accents. The Great Room features a wall of built-ins with antique glass cabinet doors that flank the fireplace and a coffered beamed ceiling. The adjacent Kitchen features a large walnut topped island which sets the tone for the gourmet kitchen.
