Impala Kitchens and Bathrooms

Impala just completed this stunning kitchen! The brief was to design a kitchen with warmth and impressive textures to suit the house which spanned over four levels. The design needed to allow for casual eating in the kitchen, ample preparation and storage areas. Utilitarian bench tops were selected for the preparation zones on the island and adjacent to the cooktop. A thick recycled timber slab was installed for the lowered eating zone and a stunning transparent marble for the splashback and display niche. Joinery was manufactured from timber veneer and polyurethane. Critical to the modern, sleek design was that the kitchen had minimum handles. Two handles were used on the larger doors for the fridge and lift-up cabinet which concealed the microwave. To balance the design, decorative timber panels were installed on the ceiling over the island. As storage was also a priority, a walk in pantry was installed which can be accessed at the far left by pushing a timber veneer panel.

This is a comprehensive renovation of an early midcentury home in Portland. Finishes and fixtures were chosen for a warm contemporary feel to blend well with the home's origins, and we custom designed all new cabinetry, trim, and moldings. We wanted to showcase a fun multi-purpose room, combining a laundry room, pet supplies/bed and wrapping paper center. Using Current frame-less cabinets, we show as much of the product as possible in a small space: Lazy susan Stack of 4 drawers (each drawer being a different box and glide offered in the line) Pull out ironing board Stacked washer and dryer Clothes rod for both hanging clothes and wrapping paper Open shelves Square corner wall Pull out hamper baskets Pet bed Tip up door Open shelves with pull out hampers We also wanted to combine cabinet materials with high gloss white laminate upper cabinets and Spokane lower cabinets. Keeping a budget in mind, plastic laminate counter tops with white wood-grain imprint and a top-mounted sink were used.

Handmade In-Frame Kitchen in Old White

This kitchen used an in-frame design with mainly one painted colour, that being the Farrow & Ball Old White. This was accented with natural oak on the island unit pillars and on the bespoke cooker hood canopy. The Island unit features slide away tray storage on one side with tongue and grove panelling most of the way round. All of the Cupboard internals in this kitchen where clad in a Birch veneer. The main Focus of the kitchen was a Mercury Range Cooker in Blueberry. Above the Mercury cooker was a bespoke hood canopy designed to be at the correct height in a very low ceiling room. The sink and tap where from Franke, the sink being a VBK 720 twin bowl ceramic sink and a Franke Venician tap in chrome. The whole kitchen was topped of in a beautiful granite called Ivory Fantasy in a 30mm thickness with pencil round edge profile.

Der vertikale Wäscheständer, der an der Decke montiert ist, nimmt keinen Platz am Boden weg und wird je nach Bedarf hoch oder herunter gefahren.

How do I add storage to my laundry?

A combination of storage solutions is key to running an efficient laundry. Include shelves above or beside the washing machine to store washing detergent, softener and other cleaning products; and laundry bins for dirty clothes. Consider a custom-built cupboard for an ironing board, so it can easily fold out when you need it, or mount the ironing board directly to the wall or on the back of a door. A retractable clothesline is a handy addition to dry delicate clothes, while a clothes hanger mounted to the wall is ideal for hanging freshly pressed shirts.

What else can I use my laundry for?

Multipurpose laundry rooms or utility rooms can help save valuable space in your home. Laundries are usually filled to the brim with appliances and storage, so take advantage of your walls when decorating and use cheery paint colours or wallpaper to make doing the chores more pleasant! Fun signs, posters, murals and wall decals will also add character to the space. Think of your storage as decor, too – look for bins and baskets with decorative touches, and use brightly-coloured or patterned hangers.
