Côté matériaux, on utilisera des pierres sèches pour les murs, le bois pour les terrasses, les galets pour des tapis et calades. Les végétaux eux se tailleront en formes géométriques. Les topiaires et leurs lignes pures, par exemple, s'accordent parfaitement à celles, rigoureuses, de la maison contemporaine. Le jardin contemporain se lit dans son ensembles et cette lecture laisse apparaître un agencement très cohérent des plantations et du mouvement de la terre qui structurent fortement le paysage.

Наш заказчик, гостеприимный радушный человек, старался предусмотреть, чтобы на участке было все возможное для комфорта и развлечения гостей и потребностей каждого члена семьи. Большая семья - большие потребности. А это означает неограниченные возможности для полета дизайнерской мысли. Тем более, что заказчик с доверием отнесся к нам с самого начала, внимательно и с уважением выслушивал все наши предложения, лишь корректируя их иногда. Сад расположился на разных уровнях, где верхняя площадка-это визуальный простор:большая поляна с уникальными качелями, сад хвойников и декоративный пруд, который каскадом спускается на уровень ниже. На участке мы устроили систему искусственных водоемов. Вода из верхнего пруда попадает в нижний через каскад высотой примерно 1,5 метра. Верхний водоем примыкает непосредственно к террасе бани. Поскольку баня построена всего в четырех метрах от основного дома, верхний водоем служит украшением въездной зоны, и также им можно любоваться, сидя на террасе бани. У нижнего водоема мы соорудили деревянный помост для шезлонгов, с него по мостику можно попасть на костровую площадку. И с помоста, и с костровой площадки открывается вид на каскад. Нижний уровень сочетает в себе активную зону и зону отдыха. После тренировки можно полюбоваться покоем воды. Повислая рябина отражается в водной глади, валуны и декоративные посадки имитируют естественную среду, а огонь вызывает самые теплые чувства, поэтому костровая площадка с удобными креслами и скамьей дополняет образ прибрежной усадьбы. Надо также отметить, что все деревянные конструкции для сада ( пергола с качелью, дровник, садовые скамьи, мебель для костровой площадки и др.) выполнены нами по индивидуальным эскизам.

The Parkland House is located in an existing flood zone, and the spaces under the existing home and extension are at risk of flooding. Finishes throughout have been selected for their flood resilience, and the spaces have been designed with ease of recovery in mind. The family pass through the new central stair daily to access the garage, laundry and garden spaces. The battens and breeze blocks allow cooling breezes to pass through the plantings, and filter through the undercroft spaces. In the event of a flood, the permeable and flood resilient construction will allow water to freely exit the spaces.

Other popular options are golden cane palm trees and fern for ground cover. From there you can add some colour with bright flowers like frangipani, hibiscus or bromeliads. All these are actually quite hardy plants, so once established, your tropical garden is actually quite easy to maintain. Use this structure and apply it to your style. Research which plants you need to set your base for a contemporary garden and go from there.

Add some decor

If the plants don’t quite do it for you yet, or if you want to add some extra wow-factor, consider adding some extra features. Even if you can’t accommodate a swimming pool, hot tub or pond, you could look at smaller water features. Simple rocks can also have a great effect, while statues and gnomes will add some extra character. Don’t forget to add some furniture so you have a nice place to sit and enjoy your garden!
