The existing kitchen had ceiling mounted spotlights and the client was keen for the new kitchen to be well lit. We used LED striplights which were discreet but ceiling mounted across some of the beams and under the cabinets to create a good wash of light over the whole space.

We opened up the wall into the family room so the cook can still be part of the fun! The black shelf units were designed by Lauren Pennisi, asid and custom made for our clients.
The White Kitchen Company
This large family kitchen in Leigh on Sea, Essex, features a stunning curved island housing two wine racks a microwave, induction hob with a ceiling extractor above. The single ovens with warming drawers sit nicely between an integrated larder and a fridge and freezer. An under-mounted sink with a boiling tap for instant hot water is incorporated in a run with cupboards, drawers, dishwasher and bin. Two tall cupboards, one with glass panels to showing pretty glassware sit on the worktop with a wine fridge in the furniture below. Hand-painted in Farrow and Ball Pigeon. The worktop is Classic Quartz Olympia. This kitchen shows how you can utilise the furniture to its utmost capacity to make the most of a large space.

Design is all about collaboration, bit of ideas/experiences/research from so many people come together to create a perfect space.
Like so many homes from the 90s, this kitchen was separated from the main living area by an imposing wall. With two kiddos, the homeowners wanted to open the enclosed kitchen, bring some natural light in, and create a space that would serve their busy household.
Tearing down a wall isn’t always easy and it took several meetings between the designer, homeowners, architect, and contractor to create a plan for the new space far before any material selections were completed.
