A corner of her office ... who says she's a 'maximalist'? But she's happy knowing her treasured artworks are hung and admired rather than sitting collecting dust in storage!

This formal living room is located in East Avenue mansion in a Preservation District. It has beautiful architectural details and I choose to leave the chandelier in place. I wanted to use elegant and contemporary furniture and showcase our local contemporary artists including furniture from Wendell Castle. The wing chair in the background was in the house and I choose to have a slip cover made for it and juxtapose it next to a very contemporary Wendell Castle side table that has an amazing crackle finish

The wall mural was designed to match the rest of the playroom, including pulling out some of the brown and yellow colours from the rug and the hardwood floor. It's the perfect fit for pint-sized people!

This home was office done by Weaver Design Group for the project of "Antiques in Modern Design". The walls are painted in a vibrant pink to offset the black and grey used in the consoles and lamps. The 17th century baroque gilt wood mirror gives weight to an otherwise light and airy room. The pair of Louis XV armchairs sit in front of a modern desk covered in a floral wallpaper. The shell consoles against the wall are wonderfully carved wooden consoles in the form of shells and can be used in a multitude of spaces such as a dining hall or an entrance room or anywhere one pleases. The statue of a lady from the Han dynasty period completes the feminine touch.

A blend of native grasses and wildflowers looks great and transitions into the surrounding open space. In addition to looking great, this area is low maintenance and water friendly.

For the Parlor, we did a beautiful yellow; the color just glows with warmth; gray on the walls, green rug and red cabinetry makes this one of the most playful rooms I have ever done. We used red cabinetry for TV and office components. And placed them on the wall so the cats can climb up and around the room and red shelving on one wall for the cat walk and on the other cabinet with COM Fabric that have cut outs for the cats to go up and down and also storage.

Country style garden full of individual, interesting bits and pieces. Design made best use of level changes and increased privacy. Lots of secluded places to sit, with year round seasonal planting.
