When it came to improving the design and functionality of the dry bar, we borrowed space from the adjoining closet beside the fireplace to gain additional square footage. After reframing the portion of the wall, we were able to start bringing the client’s vision to life—adding floating shelves on either side of the fireplace, and an open shelf for liquor and glassware.
The dry bar backsplash features beautiful Carrera and Moonstone Evo Hex tile in polished marble mosaic.

This large estate house was carefully crafted to compliment the rolling hillsides of the Midwest. Horizontal board & batten facades are sheltered by long runs of hipped roofs and are divided down the middle by the homes singular gabled wall. At the foyer, this gable takes the form of a classic three-part archway. Subtle earth-toned wall colors, white trim, and natural wood floors serve as a perfect canvas to showcase patterned upholstery, black hardware, and colorful paintings.

Log cabin home renovation. Gutted this home down to the timbers. There was not one thing that we didn't touch and upgrade! We added this second floor loft, new kitchen, new tile, custom railings, rebuilt staircase, custom casings around windows and doors, new paint, chandelier. The original fireplace stopped about 3/4 of the way up so we built it to the ceiling. It doesn't even resemble the original house!

This young family owns a home in Ganesha Hills in Pomona. After living with “apartment” furniture for a couple of years, they decided it was time to upgrade and invest in furnishings that were more suited to their taste and lifestyle. Family friendly and comfortable, but still stylish, is what was requested. I achieved that by selecting quality/durable pieces of furniture for the foundation of the room and then decorated with accessories that have a bit of a “glam” factor, which can easily be changed out when they want a new look. I designed a custom wood bar top with steel supports for seating at the kitchen peninsula. Before there was no seating in the kitchen. This helps join the kitchen and family room and provides a spot for the kids to eat and do homework. The fireplace was updated with a new custom wood mantle and matching hearth. I had the walls painted from a yellow to a neutral greige. Custom window coverings include grey silk drapes in the family room and pleated Roman shades in the kitchen. For a bit of added sparkle, I replaced the 2 existing pendants with 2 mini chandeliers over the peninsula. The overall look is family friendly, but stylish with a bit of sparkle. The gray stacked stone fireplace provides texture and warmth to the room. Already set up for a TV to go above it, this fireplace is a great place for the family to gather together. Photography and Staging by Interior Decor by Maggie.
