110 year old home renovation, including complete kitchen remodel and removing of walls to open up the space.
Bellingham Bay Builders
The owners of this home came to us with a plan to build a new high-performance home that physically and aesthetically fit on an infill lot in an old well-established neighborhood in Bellingham. The Craftsman exterior detailing, Scandinavian exterior color palette, and timber details help it blend into the older neighborhood. At the same time the clean modern interior allowed their artistic details and displayed artwork take center stage.
We started working with the owners and the design team in the later stages of design, sharing our expertise with high-performance building strategies, custom timber details, and construction cost planning. Our team then seamlessly rolled into the construction phase of the project, working with the owners and Michelle, the interior designer until the home was complete.
The owners can hardly believe the way it all came together to create a bright, comfortable, and friendly space that highlights their applied details and favorite pieces of art.

Palazzo Kitchens & Appliances
While stainless steel appliances are considered contemporary, they also have the ability to adapt to their surroundings and enhance the character of a well designed, and well accessories kitchen.
The character generated by this kitchen comes from the clients ability to accessories this kitchen with heart and passion.
An eclectic gather of textures, colors and materials work perfectly together to create a welcoming and functional area to entertain from, and provide for your family.
Full high ceiling tiles, open timber shelving, a mixture of timber laminate and concrete bench top surfaces, and an assortment of bar stools all contribute their own special character to this wonderful kitchen.

White metro tiles are a very popular choice and the grey grout ties in really well with the grey units and the marble look laminate worktops. The LED strip light under the wall units lights up the preparation area perfectly.

For a rental suite kitchen we wanted to save cost so used a white subway in a herringbone style to add style and grey grout to define it. Open wine rack and stainless appliances are bonus features for tenants and also means owners will get good tenants by commanding a higher rent.
Lower ceiling meant 20" high top cabinets and an awkward jog in the back corner hiding a plumbing stack meant getting creative with cabinetry in the corner.

Adding a color to your base cabinets is a great way to add depth to your Kitchen, while keeping the beloved white cabinets and subway tile backsplash. This project brought in warmth with hardwood flooring and wood trim. Can you spot the large patch we made in the original flooring? Neither can we! We removed a peninsula to open up this kitchen for entertaining space when guests are over (after COVID-19 of course). Props to this client for doing their own beautiful trimwork around the windows and doors!

This client was looking for a refresh of this rental space near downtown Billings. The cabinets were refinished with white paint to match the new laminate countertops. A ceramic subway tile backsplash was installed to blend with the new laminate flooring installed.
