This kitchen was part of a significant remodel to the entire home. Our client, having remodeled several kitchens previously, had a high standard for this project. The result is stunning. Using earthy, yet industrial and refined details simultaneously, the combination of design elements in this kitchen is fashion forward and fresh.
Project specs: Viking 36” Range, Sub Zero 48” Pro style refrigerator, custom marble apron front sink, cabinets by Premier Custom-Built in a tone on tone milk paint finish, hammered steel brackets.
Plain & Posh
This small kitchen space needed to have every inch function well for this young family. By adding the banquette seating we were able to get the table out of the walkway and allow for easier flow between the rooms. Wall cabinets to the counter on either side of the custom plaster hood gave room for food storage as well as the microwave to get tucked away. The clean lines of the slab drawer fronts and beaded inset make the space feel visually larger.

This dream kitchen is the perfect space for showcase and storage with floor to ceiling cabinetry, the latest high end appliances on the market. Gorgeous 5cm thick marble countertops contrast beautifully with a gray and metallic back splash. The kitchen opens up into a neat bar area for entertaining and anchors the dining area which is a perfect gathering spot.

Our team helped a growing family transform their recent house purchase into a home they love. Working with architect Tom Downer of Downer Associates, we opened up a dark Cape filled with small rooms and heavy paneling to create a free-flowing, airy living space. The “new” home features a relocated and updated kitchen, additional baths, a master suite, mudroom and first floor laundry – all within the original footprint.

The island contains two pop-up outlets which tuck away neatly when not in use.

Retreat Design
With endless views of the Indian Ocean, this Cottesloe kitchen was designed to take advantage of the breathtaking views with the kitchen positioned on the second floor with west facing breakfast bar seating overlooking the ocean.
For this project, Retreat Design designed and installed the kitchen cabinetry for a Crothers Builders built residence. Arrital’s 100% Made in Italy white laminate cabinetry with 22mm thick doors was coupled with Carrera marble island benchtops and a stainless steel back wall benchtop and splashback. The result is a timeless kitchen that has a distinctly casual beach side vibe. The west facing seating overlooking the ocean provides a perfect place to eat breakfast and catch up on the morning news. Open shelving on the kitchen island provides practical easy to access storage whilst also breaking up the island cabinetry for visual appeal.

Moody Blues
Deep, rich shades of blue, from royal to midnight, are a key kitchen colour trend, whether this is the primary colour theme or used as only for an island unit or an accent feature. From heritage style hand-painted effects to modern lacquers and finishes... whatever shade of blue you may be in the mood for can easily be achieved in a Mowlem & Co bespoke kitchen.
