Beverage station is ideal spot for morning coffee

CUSTOM CRAFT - Design Build Remodel

Our clients wanted a beverage station where they could prepare their daily coffee or serve a glass of wine away from the main food prep area. We placed the station within easy reach of the refrigerator. On the counter, we used the same Blue Butterfly granite, as well as the same Crema Marfil tile for the backsplash. Wine cubbies were included for easy access. Below we installed a convenient undercounter microwave drawer.

Do we have your attention now? ?A kitchen with a theme is always fun to design and this colorful Escondido kitchen remodel took it to the next level in the best possible way. Our clients desired a larger kitchen with a Day of the Dead theme - this meant color EVERYWHERE! Cabinets, appliances and even custom powder-coated plumbing fixtures. Every day is a fiesta in this stunning kitchen and our clients couldn't be more pleased. Artistic, hand-painted murals, custom lighting fixtures, an antique-looking stove, and more really bring this entire kitchen together. The huge arched windows allow natural light to flood this space while capturing a gorgeous view. This is by far one of our most creative projects to date and we love that it truly demonstrates that you are only limited by your imagination. Within a spectacular landscape at the edge the forest and the Snake River plain, the design of this residence is governed by the presence of the mountains. A single glass wall unifies all rooms as part of, or opening onto, this view. This unification of interior/exterior exhibits the modern notion of interior space as a continuum of universal space. The culture of this house is its simple layout and its connection to the context through literal transparency, but also a nod to the timelessness of the mountain geology. The contrast of materials defines the interior character. Durable, clapboard formed concrete extends inside under a ceiling of lapped alder wood panels that extend over the entry carport and generous overhang. This newly construction Victorian styled Home has an open floor plan and takes advantage of it's spectacular oven view. Hand distressed cabinetry was designed to accommodate an open floor plan. The large center Island separates the work side of the kitchen but adds visual interest by adding open shelving to the back of the island. The large peninsula bar was added to hide a structural column and divides the great room from the kitchen.

1. What Makes a Good Kitchen Design, and Why is it Important?

For starters, you want to find a balance between aesthetics and function. You may have heard of the ‘kitchen work triangle’, which refers to the space between your fridge, sink and stove. You want everything within easy reach when you’re working in the kitchen and look beautiful at the same time. It’s a good idea to take note of both when browsing our photo gallery.

2. Consider Your Space to Determine Your Kitchen Layout

Firstly, consider the space you have, and the limitations that come with it. Do you have a small kitchen and need to maximise your workspace and storage? Which appliances do you already own and what are their measurements? Are there windows you need to take into consideration when planning cabinets? How do kitchen, living and dining areas connect? Know your dimensions, plan cabinetry carefully and consider the placement of your appliances. You don’t want to end up with a finished design, only for your significant other to question where the fridge is supposed to go. You also want to plan the layout of your cabinets.
