Transitional Family Room Design Photos with Beige Floor

built in cabinets, ceiling paneling, wood ceiling, oversized couch, gray sectional sofa

Living Room that is simple, contemporary and designed for a family to live in.

The clients enjoy having friends over to watch movies or slide shows from recent travels, but they did not want the TV to be a focal point. The team’s solution was to mount a flat screen TV on a recessed wall mounting bracket that extends and swivels for optimal viewing positions, yet rests flat against the wall when not in use. A DVD player, cable box and other attachments remotely connect to the TV from a storage location in the kitchen desk area. Here you see the room when the TV is flat against the wall and out of sight of the camera lens.

The glass panelling allows for one area to be quiet the other can be used for conversation. I'd make this folding or sliding doors. - paula_grainger

Our clients lived in a wonderful home they designed and built which they referred to as their dream home until this property they admired for many years became available. Its location on a point with spectacular ocean views made it impossible to resist. This 40-year-old home was state of the art for its time. It was perfectly sited but needed to be renovated to accommodate their lifestyle and make use of current materials. Thus began the 3-year journey. They decided to capture one of the most exquisite views of Boston’s North Shore and do a full renovation inside and out. This project was a complete gut renovation with the addition of a guest suite above the garage and a new front entry.

An inexpensive way to add character is to paint that dated brick you may have at your fireplace, we did just that, with 2 coats of a Zinner primer and high quality semi gloss white paint, the once dated fireplace got a makeover and blends perfectly in the space.
