This is a 10' high 6' diameter stair with 22.5 degree oak covered treads, featuring stainless steel rail with 5 line rail infill. HALLOU ESCALIERS METAL & BOISDans cette magnifique restructuration à Paris, notre création devait s'intégrer "en douceur" dans cette pièce à vivre. L'escalier est le plus gros meuble de la pièce mais sa présence se devait d'être discrète.
Un escalier hélicoïdal à rampe pleine, marches et contremarches en chêne 1er choix massif, fût central et main courante acier thermolaqué. Le planning chantier fût complexe puisque nos compagnons devaient le "grimper" avant la mise en place de la verrière. Pari tenu !

Our clients desired a stylish, modern aesthetic with timeless elements to create balance throughout their home. With our clients intention in mind, we achieved an open concept floor plan complimented by an eye-catching open riser staircase. Custom designed features are showcased throughout, combined with glass and stone elements, subtle wood tones, and hand selected finishes.
The entire home was designed with purpose and styled with carefully curated furnishings and decor that ties these complimenting elements together to achieve the end goal. At Avid Interior Design, our goal is to always take a highly conscious, detailed approach with our clients. With that focus for our Altadore project, we were able to create the desirable balance between timeless and modern, to make one more dream come true.
Stark Architecture Ltd.An amazing client who wanted to push the envelope on both material choice and green building integration. This single-family home with detached garage is to be a year round base for a professional athlete. The open plan interior is achieved by CLT panels which form the walls and roof, vaulted, with no interior beams or ties, and without the use of an exterior steel frame. Woodfibre insulation covers the solid timber construction and shō sugi ban treated wood exterior. The buildings are arranged around a vast triangular canopy, providing a connection between each building and shelter from the summer sun and winter snow. The envelope and windows all surpass passive house requirements, whilst underground tanks will collect and treat rainwater for household use. Work began in Summer 2018 and was completed late fall 2019.
PLANT Architect Inc.In contrast to the white oak open stair that connects the second and third floors, the ground-to-second-floor stair is solid, concealing the basement. At the tp of the stair the handrail conceals lighting for the walnut end wall.
