Yet: the customer services and liaison provided by Rob McEwan at Refresh Renovations, Rodney surpasses them all. With Rob's committment to providing excellent service, he confidently guided a fantastic team of builders to replace rotten floorboards in two areas caused by leaks, replace a rotten interior wall, organise a gib stopper, and organise new carpet. I didn't have to do a thing: very grateful Rob had the reins and he competently steered the ship. For each of these tasks, at every developing stage, he kept me in the loop, so I rate his communication skills very highly. His attention to detail where nothing was too much bother for him; will stay in my mind for a long time. Five Stars, absolutely.”

    “In 2009 I purchased a 2 bedroom 30 year old Brick and Tile house north facing on the shores of the Panmure Lagoon. Unbeknownst to me at the time it had won house of the year when constructed all those years before! After living, (and as you do planning), in it a few years, I engaged Alpha 1 Builders carry out the extensive renovations which incorporated ; opening the house out, create two new levels and completely upgrade the house and fittings. All that was left after one week were the external walls. Wrapped in plastic the work began in earnest. Paul's attention to detail and planning meant the build was completed on time and on budget. Of course things changed during the build as they do, but this was made easy by the professional and trademan like care taken by all his staff. Alterations by myself to the original specifications were costed and approved before work was carried out so I never felt concern that the project was running away on me. When Paul suggested that he enter it in house of the year I was enthusiastic and then overjoyed to receive a gold medal. The finished product is a 4 Bedroom easy flowing house with three bathrooms, an enormous rumpus/theater room and open plan Kitchen/Dining and lounge area, opening onto a sweeping sun-drenched deck that displays unobstructed views of the water. Now after three years of living in our house we still enjoy it everyday and find it works well and flows naturally. It's not unusual to sit on one of the superb north facing decks sipping a Flat White gazing out over the waters and pondering the choice of going to work or,,, having another!”

    “A reclad project is a job that few home-owners really want to undertake. Steve and his team were a delight to work with and transformed our house into a home we are really proud of. We get regular comments on how well the finished job looks. Steve saw the tricky issues long before we did and was able to give us appropriate recommendations for those unforeseen problems. Steve's recommendations on sub-trades, material selection and his ability to talk to us at our level made us feel that our input was always welcome.     “Andrew was a fabulous tradesman who fitted a cavity-slider in our Bedroom-to-ensuite rennovation. It was not a straight-forward job matching old-house to new-materials. Andrew went the extra mile and kindly gave us some valuable tips for our project and was a pleasant perspon in our house. We'd definitely engage with Andrew again and recommend him to others.”

    “We employed Manly Construction after friends recommended them. We wanted to undertake an extensive renovation and doubling in size of our house. We obtained one other quote, but the estimated pricing was too open. Gareth (Manly Construction) was honest about our budget and the possible areas of over runs in a reno of this size. We continued to live downstairs whilst the house was extended over 2 more floors, 2 bedrooms 3 bathrooms, new kitchen and flooring, and a complete new roof. The team from Manly were always respectable and flexible with a family of four (and an attention demanding dog) living on site, and we always felt totally comfortable around all of the team, which we had not experienced with our 2 other builds with different builders. The weather wasn't always kind, but they worked through and took care of the parts of the house not being renovated. We were a particularly fussy client, especially living on site and inspecting work daily. We finished pretty much on schedule and overspent by the amount we were warned we could at the beginning, We changed the plans and detail more than once and this was never an issue. All council inspections were passed first time including the final. We ended up selling and moving after about 12 months and received lots of praise for the finish and quality. We would highly recommend Gareth and his team from Manly construction, and if he'd have us, we would use him again!”
